Schnabel bach/EMI C

My comments vis-à-vis Artur Schnabel’s complete Bach output can be found in my ClassicsToday.com review of Doremi 7740. Hot on the heels of that release, EMI brought out its own edition, remastered from prime source material. EMI’s transfers are vastly superior to Doremi’s, and, for that matter, to a Urania disc containing most of the Schnabel Bach selections. Moreover, EMI offers complete discographical information as opposed to zilch from Doremi, and costs less to boot. Need I say more?
