Announcing The Ruth Bader Ginsburg Fund for Vocal Recordings

ClassicsToday

September 23, 2022—At its recent annual benefit, Soirée Cedille, Cedille Records announced an exciting new initiative. The Ruth Bader Ginsburg Fund for Vocal Recordings honors the late Justice’s love of vocal music — the music and its performers, and her support of Cedille Records. The Fund will support albums featuring the music RBG treasured most.

Justice Ginsburg’s love of music was well known, and she often supported artists by showcasing their talents and introducing them to others. She instilled that love of music in her son, who opted to build a career as a music producer and founded Cedille Records, the nonprofit label that both of his parents, Marty and Ruth, championed. The Ruth Bader Ginsburg Fund for Vocal Recordings at Cedille Records will support at least one vocal album each year beginning in 2023.
