CLASSICAL MUSIC FOR SKATERS AND ATHLETES
Tired of trying to find good music for your program?
The key to finding musical material for a great program is knowing the music well, which is why so many people have problems and why if you just pick something and then hand it to an editor to adjust you often wind up with choppy, fragmented, garbage.
Our Philosophy
The athlete has to work with someone musically knowledgeable in choosing a program. With tens of thousands of compact discs containing nearly 1000 years of recorded music, our Classical heritage offers both an unparalleled resource and a huge challenge.
For example, a favorite piece of music MAY be exactly the right time and require no editing at all, because the nice thing about classical music is that everyone plays the same pieces but does so at their own tempo--sometimes these can vary from one performance to another by as much as 25-30%. Because professional critics often own multiple (even dozens) of performances of the same music, we can simply choose the one at the right speed and therefore can use it straight, with no editing at all.
By respecting the musical integrity of the selection, you can achieve much greater fluidity of motion and choreographic interest. And if editing is necessary, we can promise to preserve the musics natural sense of flow, transition, and climax to give your program the kind of inevitability and logical shape that actually helps you execute the necessary elements simply by following the course of the music.
